Our play groups are designated for children, ages 10 months to 6 years old. This is a time where children play in a safe environment with their parents by their side. We have all the large equipment of a gymnastics gym including spring floors, bars, beams, and a tumble trak, but we also have preschool sized bars, beams, and training aids sized for the smaller child. This is a great opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their little one as parents are required on the floor. Play groups are staff supervised but NOT a structured class. Our prices are minimal, with no registration required. Times and prices can be located on the class schedule, which is on the main page. For groups of 15 or more, please call to reserve a slot. Finding a safe place for children to play and run isn’t always easy. Every parent wants their child to be safe and have a good time, and here at Old Town Gymnastics Academy, we offer some wonderful options for a great time. We have many different classes that teach gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, and more, but our facility offers more than instructional movement- we have some fantastic play groups, too!Our play groups are designed around small groups that help keep children active and safe. Our gymnasium is a wonderworld of fun for children who come here for instruction as well as for those who are here to play. We have all the large equipment of a gymnastics gym, including cheer floors, spring floor, bars, beams, a tumble track, and more. With a low student-to-instructor ratio, every child is able to explore safely and have a great time.
We offer play groups because they allow us to help children foster a love of movement and fitness from a young age. Children inherently love to move, and fostering a safe environment where they can take risks without injury helps them to not only build muscular and skeletal strength, but also allows them to grow in confidence and self-esteem. We build the foundations for fitness at our gym, both in our instructional learning classes and our play groups.
